Easter Fog

Morning fog as seen from the Kennedy Parkway.

Once into the grounds of the centre, there was some fog that partially obscured the Vehicle Assembly Building, affording some attractive photo opportunities. I was later told that had the Discovery been scheduled to fly this morning, the fog would have caused a cancellation. This made me nervous that it would not launch tomorrow for the same reason.

One of the barges used to bring in space shuttle tanks is moored to the right. The flag is that of the Press Center lawn, as often seen on TV.

I watched the sunrise across the 100 metre wide Turn Basin lagoon, where barges bring the External Tanks for the space shuttle.
