NASA Art

A Saturn 1B of the type used in the Apollo and Skylab programmes.
This painting reminded me of the STS 132 rollout a few days ealier, except that I was inside the Vehicle Assembly Building when this event occured!

After Wendy's talk I took another look at the rocket park, then at noon headed into the IMAX building to admire the NASA Art Collection.

NASA has for many decades commissioned artists to document the space programme, and many dozens of them are on display at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Reproductions of some of them can be purchased by visitors.
