Introduction to Saturn Building
The view that greets you when you enter the Saturn Hall at the Kennedy Space Center. These are the five F-1 engines of the Saturn 5 rocket.
Lowering ones gaze one can see the full length of this mighty rocket.
Moving past the engines we see the mission patches for all of the Apollo spaceflights.
Tucked away in a corner of this vast hall is one of the sports cars owned by one of the Mercury astronauts.
I touch a piece of the Moon.

At 5 pm I left the Observation tower and took the bus for the 10 minute ride back past the Vehicle Assembly Building to the Apollo Saturn 5 building. As its name suggests, this houses a disassembled Saturn 5 lying on its side. Inside this building, which must be nearly 150 metres long, there are associated displays and theatrical shows of the Apollo Launch Control Center and Moon Landing.
There is more in this building than can be seen in one visit, and I knew I had a month ahead of me to revisit it for a fuller enjoyment.
