Rocket Park At Dusk

The Visitor Complex

From left to right: Juno, Mercury-Atlas, Thor-Delta and Mercury-Redstone.

The business end of a Saturn 1B. This type of rocket launched the Apollo 7 and the three manned Skylab missions.

In this theatre astronauts give talks to the public. It was here that the plenary session of the NASA Space Conference was held on 2010 April 15.

No, I didn't patronise this establishment!

One of the myriad of attractions.

What is claimed as the largest space shop in the world!

During April the Visitor Complex normally closes at 6 pm, but it being Good Friday the place was open late. So, as dusk fell, I spent half an hour until 8:15 pm photographing the extensive rocket park, which was illuminated with spot and flood lamps. Not many folks get to photograph the park against a post sunset twilight sky.

Space shop panorama.
