STS 131 stands ready on Pad 39A. |
In the late afternoon I took the public tour from the KSC Visitor's Center and was able to again see the STS 131 stack from the observation tower. I carefully took a series of photos from the tower as it afforded a panoramic view extending from the Aries (and former Apollo / Shuttle) launch pad to the north around to the pads of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to the south. I was clearly able to see Pad 41, on which stood the Atlas 5 vehicle with the Air Force's X-37B space plane, the Orbital Test Vehicle.
