Spacewalk of Fame

The Vehicle Assembly Building quite literally has its 'head in the clouds.'

Dawn on Monday, April 26, brought low cloud, and as I breakfasted I was able to see, across the river, a spectacle that I had heard of but never expected to actually see. The Vehicle Assembly Building with its roof lost in the clouds.

I walked along the riverfront to the Space Walk of Fame Museum and again explored its treasures, and bought some STS 131 mission pins as gifts.

I spent some of the afternoon visiting the Post Office and UPS to investigate ways to get the things I had bought and been given back to Australia. I even went to a supermarket to weigh my bags, as the motel did not have any scales. The bag was much too massive to fly without penalty charges.
