The SaveSpace Emblem. |
Before going to bed, I saw in the paper a display advertisement for a rally to "SaveSpace" that was to be held in Cocoa on Sunday afternoon.
That paper also had news that at 10:30 am the next day (Saturday) the KSC Visitor Complex would be host to Jim Lovell and Fred Haise as a 40th anniversary commemoration of Apollo 13. On reading this I nearly aborted my trip to the Florida Keys, but after pondering my options - including the prospect of having to drive like a madman to get from Homestead to the Space Center Visitor Complex by 10 am - I decided to continue south. I had wanted to see the Keys longer than I had wanted to meet Lovell and Haise.
