In Port Canaveral I saw the United Space Alliance building. Further along the coast at Cocoa Beach I spent an enjoyable two hours in the Dinosaur and Fossil shop, which has a large number of fine specimens on display and for sale.
Later I drove past Patrick Air Force Base, before returning to Cocoa Beach. I spent an hour walking along the beach as three large cruise ships put to sea from Port Canaveral into an approaching storm. I made it back to the car just before the storm pelted the area with rain.
